PROJECT 1:
GEOMETRY AND FORM :
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN ELEMENTS & PRINCIPLES
PROJECT BRIEF
In this assignment, we are required to do 3 mock-up models and 1 final model which is in 100 x 100 x 100 mm size. Each of the 3 mock-up models should include one design principle and one element by selecting different types of design principles and elements from the categories that showed in the assignment brief.
For the final model, we are required to combine at least 2 or a maximum of 3 primary elements into the design. The size of the final model also is 100 x 100 x100 mm which is 70% of the volume.
For the drawing, 4 rendered and shaped 100x100 100 x100 mm tattoo stamps are required. All the tattoo stamps are based on our models' designs.
4 of the tattoo stamps should paste on an A3 size black color modeling board.
The design process sketch journal is also required in the submission of this assignment.

PERSPECTIVE
CLASS
In my opinion and experience throughout this semester, I prefer to attend class face-to-face. This is because I could access more information and a richer understanding through the teacher and other student's body language and voice. Communication is the key to success. Not only that, I could have bonding time with my lecturers, tutors, and classmates, and it could improve the relationship between us. I also could have a more comfortable environment to study, I could ask questions directly, no need to text message, which will misunderstanding sometimes.
TUTOR AND LECTURER
My tutor for this project is Miss Sue May. She is a kind and nice tutor. She always gave me some advice on how to improve my model and gave us encouragement and support when we felt stressed about academics. She was also very professional and patient when shared her experience and knowledge about architecture with us.
MODULE
Throughout this module, I learned to develop skills in visualization and communication of architectural ideas, space, and form.
REFLECTION
In this assignment, I learned what is design principles and design elements. Not only that, but I also improved my drawing in how to draw my tattoo stamps with rendering and shading skills. This assignment enabled me to improve my creativity in designing a model and also explored using different materials to complete the models. I learned a lot of pieces of knowledge about basic architectural design.
Besides, I noticed that time management is really important, I couldn't procrastinate, because it will delay my progress.
