PROJECT 3: 

SPACE AND SENSORY: SELF-EXPLORATION THROUGH SPACES

project brief

Based on our explorations and in-depth understanding of tectonics, ergonomics, and anthropometry studies, we are required to develop the sensorial experience of your spaces. We are tasked to re-examine the activity and specific action from our previous project which is the bamboo and develop a spatial narrative into our design. Besides, we create  2 to 3 spaces in the design which is related to our spatial narrative.

For the drawing, we were tasked to complete a total of 4 A1-size presentation boards which included a floor plan, a section drawing, two elevation drawings, and an axonometric drawing based on our final model. 

Rendering and shading are required for the drawing.

Not only that, we are required to design 4 tattoo stamps which are 10x 10 cm in size.

NARRACTIVE

According to my bamboo project, which is safekeeping, I decided to use some concepts to do my assignment 3. For example, I will use the bubble wall design. Not only that, I decided to do a model which is for me to keep my memorable memories in my life which is in my secondary school. In secondary school, it is one part of an important journey in my life that is full of many interesting things, and that’s a journey that teaches me a lot of lessons and a journey that records me growing from a little girl to an independent girl. Besides that, in secondary school, I met many important people in my life, my friend, and I accompany each other to do some crazy things and we help each other to solve the troubles we faced not only in education but also in life.

No matter how much I hate school when I’m there, sometimes I still miss it when I leave. School times end but memories last forever.

REFELCTION

In this assignment, I learned using the relationship between using light and space. I noticed that used different materials to create a space is a way to present the mood. Not only that, I learned that a good and clear layout is really important for a presentation board. I had improved my drawing and rendering skills. I found that shading is also a way to present my drawing in a better way.

Lastly, I learned that the knowledges about anthropometry and ergonomics and found that in construction we must 100% understand the human scale and also the materials that we used.
